Even after growing up in Christian homes and attending Christian schools, we found ourselves backing into marriage and family. We tried to find our way, but it was harder than we thought it would be. We needed help. God brought older couples into our lives at key moments to ask hard questions and offer bold and timely counsel. That made all the difference.
In our late 20s, we created Boundless for Focus on the Family to help young adults navigate the season between childhood and starting families of their own. While in Colorado, God multiplied our family to include Harrison, Zoe, Churchill, and Teddy.
In our late 30s we wrote Get Married and Start Your Family in our desire to encourage others the way our mentors encouraged us.
In our 40s, we moved to Louisville, KY, where Steve earned an M.A. in family ministry and served as Vice President of Communications at Southern Seminary. After completing his degree, he went on to direct communications and resource development for Truth78. In addition to homeschooling and homemaking, Candice began editing FighterVerses.com.
Now in our 50s, after a season of growing in theological study and discipling our own children, we’re at the stage, and age, our mentors were when we were young. We hope to help you the way they helped us. It’s our passion to encourage you to embrace God’s design for marriage and family for your flourishing and His glory.
